Projeto da TV Asa Branca ocorreu sábado, dia 30 de abril, e contou com projetos de extensão da FMS e da Liga de Simulação
Estudantes do 2º e 4º períodos do curso de Medicina e professores da Faculdade de Medicina do Sertão (FMS) participaram da ação “Saúde nos bairros”, realizada na manhã do último sábado, 30/04, na Praça do São Cristóvão, em Arcoverde – PE.
A FMS levou parte de sua estrutura de bonecos e simuladores de última geração para auxiliar na conscientização à população de Arcoverde para manter os cuidados com a saúde.
Os estudantes que desenvolvem projetos de extensão na Faculdade e docentes orientaram mulheres sobre a importância dos exames ginecológicos e como realizar o autoexame de mama. Foram realizadas também ações de conscientização sobre ISTs (Infecções Sexualmente Transmissíveis) e doenças parasitárias, e a Liga de Simulação demonstrou e ensinou procedimentos de reanimação cardiorrespiratórios.
Segundo a professora e coordenadora pedagógica da FMS, a Prof.a Dr.a Renata Vasconcelos, “os estudantes entram muito precocemente nas comunidades, desde o primeiro período do curso, então, promover essa interação do estudante de Medicina junto à população, cuidando de sua saúde, traz um enriquecimento enorme, tanto para o aluno enquanto aprendizado, quanto para a população, pois acaba melhorando os índices de saúde da região”.
O “Saúde nos bairros” é um projeto da TV Asa Branca que contou com o apoio da FMS e de outros parceiros. A ação social visa levar serviços gratuitos na área da saúde e cidadania à comunidade, sendo realizado pela primeira vez em Arcoverde.
